OK, it's actually in Kirkland, on a out of the way street in what looks like a 1960's ranch house. But Cafe Juanita is a true jem, as good as any other gourmet restaraunt in Seattle. Chef Holly Smith creates stunning, often incredibly simple but offbeat, Northern Italian menus (including tremendous deserts), beautiful rich soups and divine pasta with a full bar and marvelous wine list. All in a cozy, neighborhood, family-style but highly professional and elegant atmosphere. And the waitstaff (Hi Patrick) is top notch, super knowledgable, never snotty, and very accomodating.
We are regulars.
It's at 9702 NE 120th Pl (Kirkland), open Tues-Sat 5-10 pm, Sun 5-9 pm. Call 425-823-1505 or go to Opentable for a reservation.
without a doubt the best dining in the seattle area and one of top 10 on the west coast.
